If he loses, his record will be broken? Marketing purposes? Why doesnt he risk to really prove how good he is?

DJ lacks the manlet power to manlet up and fight the towering beast.

Look everyone! Another MM vs TJ thread!

Let's all do mental gymnastics as to why that fight makes sense!

TJ is an actual challenge(MM is only a -140 favorite) unlike the green fighters and gatekeeers MM fought

I think GSP takes Cormier. 50-45.

By the way, DJ beats TJ. 50-45.

Tj shouldnt get the shot imo. Dj is the longer term champion.

Dj should first be given the option to fight for tjs belt. If he doesnt want that shot, he should have to defend his belt.

He is worried a loss will cost him his Twitch subscribers.

One very important reason...DJ's legacy.
He really really wants to retire having never broken 200,000 buys.

This is my one issue with this site; multiple threads about the same topic rather than just keeping it all in one place.
I was thinking of making a thread just now titled “ why does TJ want to fight DJ instead of going up against Max” don’t think anyone has spoken about this yet

TJ KOs DJ and DJ knows it.

So he's going to ko a guy, that has never been stopped, EVER...his only losses were very early in his career, when he wasn't even training full time...and it's not like he gets hit alot in fights...he barely ever gets touched in fights..While tj has been Ko'd.

The UFC offered him TJ when he was already signed to fight Borg, the opponent they demanded he fight. He asked for terms he thought were fair and the UFC refused so he fought who they initially requested. The UFC then publicly threw him under the bus. He's paying them back by not giving them what they want.

People think he hasn't evolved since leaving bantamweight, those people will be sorely mistaken. He is a completely different fighter.

he definitely is..night and day...those are the same people that think fedor was no different in pride than is he now...haha

I think MM got really used to being the heavy favorite and with Rogan and co. calling him the "greatest of all time," MM can keep calling himself that as long as he keeps beating people, even if he's a -1000 favorite.

One loss and he's no longer the GOAT, and he knows it.
