First let me start off by saying I like Dustin, and I will be forever grateful to him for caving Colin's face in and putting the final nail in the coffin of a cancerous fanbase.
That said, the guy beat a dude who now had to be saved by a ref in 3 of his last 4 pro fights. Sure it was a high profile win in terms of popularity and instagram followers, but in reality it was a win against a guy with a losing record in the division who has not been relevant in the octagon since 2016.
So why are people pretending that Dustin is suddenly the uncrowned champ of 155 who can pick his opponents, say guys like Chandler don't deserve a shot at him while calling out Nate Diaz, etc... He got crushed by the champ two fights ago, barely scraped by Dan Hooker in his previous fight, and now got a win over a guy who really shouldn't even be ranked.
Again, not dismissing his win as meaningless, Conor was a dangerous opponent and a tough matchup, but why are we suddenly pretending that Dustin is somehow ahead of Chandler and more importantly Oliveira who has been the best 155 (excluding Nurm) over the past 2 years.
If Khabib is not coming back, Do Bronx should definitely be the next guy fighting for the title, and Dustin should be happy to be his opponent.
