He didn't sign anything. Basic and champ contracts are different. The one he's on right now (that he reverted back to after getting stripped) has nothing to do with the title. A new contract gets made when you fight for the belt. And the one they offered him was shit, apparently. Not letting him negotiate at all is also a shit move.

And since, eventually, it all comes down to Usman - who was also displeased with the offer - Colby accepting or declining means nothing, if the champ's not showing up.

All of this is about the belt, only one guy has the belt and he's not fighting. Blame that guy, not Colby. Edwards and Masivdal were ready to replace Colby.

What people don't understand is that it's never enough money.
If the ufc shares 90% of the profits with fighters, and all fighters ride around in bentleys, it would be still difficult to make fights because "the ufc doesn't respect me and won't pay my worth yada yada."
