Lets get this out of the way: yes I am a GSP nut-hugger. Now lets get down to business.
Georges-St-Pierre-1.jpg

  1. GSP never used Performance Enhancing Drugs. (or at least got caught)
This automatically rules out Jon Jones and Anderson Silva. Sorry, you don't get to be considered as a GOAT if you used banned substances to give you an edge over competition. See: the tainted career of Lance Armstrong.

  2. GSP captured belts in two different weight classes.
Say what you want about Michael Bisping, but he moved up and choked him the fuck out after suffering through adversity. Khabib, Anderson, and Jon (for now) have not won belts in two different weight divisions. This alone is a huge feat in an era where multi-division champs are a thing.

  3. Defended his title 9 times.
This is five more than Khabib, one less than Anderson, and admittedly 6 less than Jon. While he was not as dominant as Khabib, nor did he have the finish rate of Anderson or Jon, he outclassed his opponents in areas they were supposed to be the experts in.

  4. Didn't hide under the octagon from USADA.
    GOATs do not hide.

  5. Didn't have a padded resume against nobodies.
Half of Khabib's opponents were cans. If people are gonna say the same shit about Fedor, I will say the same about Khabib. His UFC record is impressive but not on the level of GSP, Jon, or Anderson. Yes he dominated and finished a lot of dudes with a relentless pace, which is why I'd still put him as #2 GOAT behind GSP.

  6. GSP is a great role model.
Anderson and Khabib also fall into this category to a lessor extent, but I believe if we are discussing something as important as GOAT status then personal conduct should play a part on some level. I'm not saying you have to be a saint (pun not intended), but goddamn you can't hit a pregnant lady and drive off bro. I get that Jon has recently tried to turn around this image of himself by doing personal charity & volunteer work, but his public persona is still suffering from all his misdeeds.

  7. Didn't get KTFO because he was taunting or break his leg.
GSP showed all challengers the utmost respect, which included not clowning on them in the octagon. Sure Serra TKO'd him because a lack of preparation or not taking the fight seriously, but GSP was not blatantly clowning him. Also: loss avenged.

  8. Fought and beat dudes who were CLEARLY on the juice.
    iu

Left: Thiago Alves Pre-USADA. Right: Thiago Alves Post-USADA.
    iu

    iu

Left: Johny Hendricks Post USADA. Right: Johny Hendricks Post USADA.

  9. Stayed in shape and only interested in fighting Khabib.
Khabib instead chooses to retire and duck Georges, even after saying this last year:

  10. Perhaps the most important of all: GSP is a PIMP.

So that's it. Go ahead and fight against my logic all you want, but at the end of the day you know it's true.

Your math sucks balls. GSP didn’t defend 11 less times than Jones. Isn’t it five?
Agree on goat though and I hug no nuts.

Watch gsp interview with ariel helwani and listen to his views on why there cannot be one goat. It isn't real you can say many fighters are the greatest of all time it will never be just one but that level of thinking is something most people here will never achieve.

You're right, let me edit that. Should be 6 actually. It's a bit late where I am but I got tired of seeing the Jon Jones GOAT threads.

Kinda hard to call him the goat when he has 2 losses he avenged when they're are a few guys that have never legitimately lost

Still a double champ, can your GOAT say the same?

You nailed it.

"Your GOAT."

There is no GOAT. All personal preference.

But GSP still cherry-picked Bisping then ran for the hills.

Everyone knows why.

He was better off just staying retired.

3 wins against Hughes and Serra who he got finished by. So five of his 28 total fights against those guys.

Meanwhile Fedor went 31-0 against roided heavyweights. Once again, am I taking crazy pills? Please someone explain this!

Khabib's also lucky to be in a division full of strikers, have him fight someone he can't takedown (LW versions of prime Hendricks / Kos), see how dominant he looks then. Everytime he's forced to stand with someone he looks average compared to the other GOATs.

I gave you a like because you put effort and thought into this, but even if we exclude Silva and Jones, at least a guy like Demetrious Johnson is too close to Georges St-Pierre for the latter to be the "undisputed" greatest/best of all time.
