She's a big girl and she can't fight for belt at 125 because her sister is the champion, so it makes sense for her to move up in weight.

Also, I think she fought at a bigger weight class in Muay Thai, too.

She’s not very good. So I don’t think there’s any worry of her ever having to fight her sister.

Excellent question. Been asking myself this since she came to the UFC. Makes no sense at all.

Her grappling isn’t good enough for 135, she needs the size advantage at 125 to be competitive.

Could you imagine a fight with Antonina and Amanda Nunes? Everyone wants to see a trilogy fight with Valentina and Amanda, but I'd love to see Antonina Vs Amanda.

Sadly I can't. Antonina is no Valentina. It would be ugly.

You could be right, but I just think that Antonina hasn't looked so good at Flyweight because she's way too big for that division. Also, I don't think she would hesitate like Valentina did in her fights with Nunes because she's way more aggressive and has big reach and power.

Maybe she want to kick her sister's ass?
I'm sure many brothers dreaming to do it.

135 is full of wrestlers & grapplers, 125 is mostly strikers.
If you're a striker and you can make 125, which division would you rather be in?

That's not necessarily true. There's a lot of grapplers in 125, too and Antonina is fighting Cynthia Calvillo next.

She's physically pretty weak.. (e: for 135)

her takedown defense is terrible, BW is not stacked but there are pretty decent grapplers.

She can't get a title shot because she got beat by Roxanne.

Her TDD isn't the best, but Antonina seems to have really improved her BJJ and she would have a speed advantage over a lot of the BW fighters, as well as a big striking advantage.

she isn´t as clean as valentina, but if she has the right fights, 100 % she is going to be in the top 10.

How's her ground game though?

She, Val and her team knows she gets destroyed at 135

Quite good. It used to be terrible, but she's really improved it in her last few fights. She finished Lucie Pudilova with a rear naked choke and Pudilova's never been finished in a fight.

Not one pic
