Why do we love pictures so much?

Seeing how our most dominant sense is sight, and that pictures contain more direct information, and perceived meaning than all forms of media (in a immediate manner), I would say that has something to do with it. Nothing in my experience, provokes a wider range of emotion and thought within a moment quite like an image.

I never gave a damn about taking pictures or saving pictures until I got locked up
When you sitting there alone you learn how special the pictures of your loved ones and your cherished memories really are
The day I got out I bought a few disposable cameras(This was before picture phones and all that bullshit) and started taking hella pictures of everything and everyone
Now whenever I'm at any kind of gathering I make sure to take lots of pictures with my loved ones because you never know, that may be the last chance you'll ever have to take a picture with someone and you'll really be glad you did
