Why did Dana let Conor boxe but not Ngannou?

Allowing Francis to do it would give massive leverage to fighters nowhere near Connors revenue bringing levels. You would have every other Tyron Woodley diva being a nightmare to deal with.

Ngannou believed in himself as he should but the UFC cant just make concessions to champs who dont sell just because, especially when you would have them staining the UFC product by going to boxing and embarrassing themselves.

Francis was all about himself and didn’t consider Dana or the ufc but came as he did to most things in life with his hand outstretched saying gimme gimmie gimmie. McGregor was smarter than Francis and was able to negotiate a deal that was both profitable to the ufc and McGregor.

the irony is, if they just took the risk, Dana would've been able to use Ngannou's leverage right now to start his Zuffa boxing or whatever it is he wanted.

Because too many actives UFC fighters losing in boxing is a bad publicity for the growth of the UFC, especially with boxers closing the door about fighting in MMA. Askren, Woodley and Silva losing to Jake Paul was bad enough.

But Francis is a different breed it seems.

What ever the case may be, Conor had to still give 50% of his money to his wife slapping pimp Dana after getting humiliated by Floyd. Strickland was right when he said they're essentially prostitutes for daddy Dana, and in more ways than one.
