Opinion Why Are The Trump Administration's Comms Just So... Silly?

I just want some opinion, as every time the Trump admin postures and releases another ridiculous and obviously nonsensical claim, they are greeted around the world by... laughter.

Is this stuff landing in MAGA land? Like, is this what they want to hear, and what they believe?

It got over 30,000 reactions, which shows engagement is pretty good, but then I noticed most of the reactions were:



Okay, so maybe it's just Dems dropping laughing emojis, and it's probably pretty 50/50, so I clicked into it, and...



77% of the reactions are laughing emojis lol

Stuff like "(since the end of WWII)" is just so transparently phony, but there's got to be a reason they're saying this stuff, right? 8 wars in 8 months, what, we serious here? "Respect on the world stage", hmm, not so sure.

They run the FIFA prank award ceremony and it's just greeted with roaring laughter the world over lol

Is it all just trolling? I know they talk about trolling by using people's music against their will (Sabrina Carpenter most recently) and then when the star claps back, they go "GOTCHA" which is so infantile and stupid it's beyond belief.

They've got the "WE DON'T LIKE THESE MEDIA PIECES" on the actual US Government website, and all the departments are tweeting what feels like constant satire.

Isn't this a bit embarrassing, or are those who are supposed to enjoy this nonsense actually enjoying it for some reason? And if so... why? Is it owning the libs? I really want to know what you think.

I think at this point it's just trolling, and most of his supporters don't read or give a fuck about looking anything up, so they take what he says at face value.

He represents the majority of people.
