The Nordic countries all got the highest scores. This article claims that trust in the government's handling of covid is an important factor, but I don't believe that.

You're talking about 5 different countries--Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands. They all have different governments so I think attributing their happiness to the government might not be the right answer.

But I don't know what is.

Is there something cultural about those areas? Like maybe they shame complainers, so most people always claim to be super happy?

Most of their women and men take care of themselves, gluttony is minimal, they tend to have morals, self respect and continue the traditions that made them among the best countries in the world.

You don't hear Nordic women going YASSS SLAYYY QUEEN because some 350lb girl wore a bikini to a beach.

in recent times they have kept to themselves. they have small populations, and because of that it's easier to come to consensus on issues. similar cultures for the majority of the population is a huge factor as well.

We are literally number 2 country in europe in suicides outsude ex soviet countries.(belgium ahead for some reason)

LOL

That's hilarious but I bet it really is a contributing factor.

Whenever I read about Denmark recently, it is usually related to the citizens telling the government to fuck off with their covid laws. I don't think that counts as trust.
