On Tuesday night, I witnessed Drew Galloway in the main event against Kurt Angle on IMPACT. I was blown away by what Galloway could do. I would never expect him to last that long with Kurt Angle. I really thought that Angle was just going to clown him and squashed him in a minute to set up a new feud with perhaps Jeff Jarrett or Bobby Lashley. Never in my mind did I predict Galloway would nearly pick up the victory multiple times.
For those of you who do not know Galloway, he was known as Drew McIntyre in the WWE. He was in a trio known as 3MB which is equivalent to the Mean Street Posse back in the attitude era.
So Galloway basically came from biggest jobber to nearly defeating Kurt Angle. That is incredible. The progress one man could make is unbelievable. Hard work really pays off. This reminds me of the time Matt Brown was basically just a journeyman and then started putting together his game and became arguably top three welterweight in the world. That is just insane.
Do you guys think Drew Galloway could keep this up if WWE resigns him or do you think he will crumble under pressure on the big stage once again? Many MMA fighters have this exact same issue once they got into the UFC.
