Who is the last fighter to improve dramatically?

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of examples so I’ll toss this out there

Kowalkiewicz was on a 4 fight L streak & had some sort of medical issue when JJ suggested she switch camps to ATT in FL

Said she went vegan, looked obviously more tone, submitted Herrig & went on a 4 fight win streak

Thats all I got

It's really hard to say when a fighter actually improves dramatically. Fighting, when not booked like professional boxing, is high variance for most fighters who aren't total scrubs or tippy-top-level elites. Plus, there are lots and lots of MMA fighters out there and fighting 2-3 times a year is reasonably active, so you end up with .500 fighters on five or six fight win (or loss!) streaks over two or three years all the time even without lots of variance.

Someone like Charles Oliveira was never as mediocre as his worst stretch would make you think but also was never as good as his best stretch would make you think. He's pretty much always been the same fighter, a strong fighter with a fun selection of finishing skills and a high-variance style. Tai Tuivasa is just a .500 fighter who happened into some streaks.
Good point. Sometimes this happens when a champ looses. Holly after loosing the belt was like that, it was almost like she was spooked and needed to have it shook out of her. Going way back, Coleman after loosing his belt.

CM Punk remains undefeated in MMA after losing his first two fights.

Brandon Moreno got cut from the UFC after two consecutive losses, then came back and became champion

Jon Jones went from losing fights at LHW even though he was cheating, to dominating one legit fighter at HW and also old men and females.

Rocket Scientist and former #PowerSlap MW champion Isaih Quinones 🚀🩴💥

He go 0-2 by knockout to start slap journey yaar but after brain recovery and defence improvement he win title year following while maintain high salary STEM career

mummy-daddy certainly they are proud as am I ji 👍🏾🦅

Examples from the past are guys like Robert Whittaker and Max Holloway. Whitaker went from losing multiple times at welterweight to a crazy run at middleweight culminating in a championhip. Max Holloway had a split-decision against Leonard Garcia and lost to Dennis Bermudez and then a few years later beat the shit out of prime or near-prime Aldo twice for the belt. Both guys are future hall-of-famers.

The only guy I can think of that is a candidate is Fluffy Hernandez who seems still be flying under the radar a bit but is possibly Khamzat's biggest challenge. He's been on a tear since getting quickly beat by Holland.
Dominick Reyes

I don't get the Paddy hate :)
MMA fans tend to hate anyone UFC promotes - Ronda, Lesnar, Conor, Paddy, Garry......

chael sonnen went from having double digit loses to becoming undefeated and undisputed... he became so damn good later in his career that he transcended space & time causing a time ripple paradox that erased all his previous loses

Khalil Rountree once got smashed unconscious by Johnny Walker via clinch elbows. He took notes, went to Thailand and reinvented himself. He came back and kicked Eryk Anders ass so bad that Anders left not only with brain damage but on a wheel chair since he’s legs got chewed up bad!

(Next fight Rountree might have lost against some bum, but that turn around made him look like a totally different and lethal fighter. He actually fought for a title against Pereira and is expected to challenge again in the near future)
