MM accomplished almost double the title defenses, but who is the better, more skilled fighter?

They're both absolutely brilliant, but Mighty Mouse if arguably a more complete fighter.

No point comparing fighters from different weight classes …. 2 weight classes apart at that .

I’d pick Volk to win …. But I’d favor any champ 2 weight classes higher

MM is something special, and so is Volk. If they were the same size I would favor MM though.

Volk is far more skilled and proven than MM and it’s not close.


MM fought cans like Chris Cariosso, Tim Elliot, Ray Borg, etc in title fights and then went to ducking guys like FLW TJ. Embarrassing. He also got slept in the minor leagues. Ones proven, the other is a product of hype lines to market a failing division at the time.

Mighty Mouse all the way.

Volk is almost entirely a kickboxer.

MM has wrestling, submissions, and a full set of polished striking tools from either stance. He also mixed grappling with striking better than Volk or almost anyone for that matter.

MM is absurdly under appreciated. Dude was possibly the most refined full set of tools the game has ever seen.

Mighty Mouse is one of the best martial artists we'll see in our lifetimes and a ton of people don't even realize that. If the guy was born 6'2" 185lbs, he'd be in GOAT contention with his resume.

MM is the most wellrounded and complete fighter I've seen. They're along the same lines, though.

Mighty mouse might be more of a complete fighter but I wouldn't say he's that much better. Demetrious Johnson has a better submission game and overall wrestling.

Flyweight is an abysmal division. Just look at MMs record and watch some of his title fights to get a feeling of the talent he fought at the top. It's no comparison to FW, Volk has fought and beaten much better competition.
