I love max, I'd be happy for him if he won, but I cant imagine there is much tread on the tires. If max beat illa, Illa would just become champ again after.

I like both but I’m going with Max. He will dominate Illia pillar to post, bell to bell.

I'm kind of the same, care more about the fighters as "fighters" than their personalities, so indifferent to the winner (though I personally find Max far more likable outside of fighting), as both have very cool and violent styles that are fascinating to watch.

Just want to see an incredibly technical war that has us on the edge of our seats throughout, would be a shame if either guy got sparked in the first somehow (though it would be shocking it would also be a huge letdown in so many ways).

From the standpoint of a "feel good story", I'm rooting for Max. He's one of the most likeable guys in UFC history, a true warrior, and this would be the feather in his cap; dethroning the current, undefeated champ, becoming one of the few titleholders to win back a belt he lost over 5 years ago.
From a competitive standpoint, I'm interested to see what Illia has to offer. There's certainly more fights for him at FW than Max, who's basically cleared out the division (sans Volk). I hate Topuria as a person, but he's an amazing fighter and I can envision some great battles across multiple divisions, if he proves himself to be a great.

Overall though... I want Max. I just like him.
