Which new IPhone are you going for?

I bought a OnePlus this year and between the 2 day battery life and the 30 minutes to charge it, I no longer have to worry about battery life. Next phone will probably be a cheap Motorola because outside of battery life I realized I don't care about phone features anymore. Phones haven't really changed much in the last 8 years or so.

Really only buy a new phone when the battery shits out on the current one.

Prefer the SEs over the #d series huge phones.

I dunno, last time I had issues with Android was v.2.3 on my old ass HTC phone. I lost some data updating. It was 2012.
Omg, that’s likely the phone that made me switch for good <lol>

Blue message crew from here on out

I have an iPhone 15 and planning to keep it until it falls apart.
At this point, there is no huge reason to upgrade even semi regularly. I have the 15 pro, and before that, the 6. They do pretty much the same things. Only upgrade I use is the camera, and even then, rarely is it used.

Maybe it’s just me, but that new phone feel has really fell off in the last decade or so.

Agreed, and the price of new devices turns me off as well.

It's not just you. Phone revisions haven't been a big deal since the iPhone 7 generation at the latest. Some might point to the iPhone 6. It's been incremental improvements since then. So, yeah, about 10 years.

You buy it for the hardware and software, the six stopped receiving OS update since 12, and there has been a lot of updates since, “live text” is a darn game changer, tap to pay, password management……. The next few strong updates are the live translation updates, often have to work with Spanish speaking workers and can’t communicate well.

My iPhone 13 that I use as a secondary phone is still good enough for me.

None of them they are overpriced trend phones
Trend since 2009?

After using it for a few days still on 50% battery. I know there obviously are differences from my 6 year old one but I use it so infrequently I haven't used them and likely won't. But it looks pretty neat with a nifty case and it works.
