Top 5 biggest falls from grace in MMA
Which fighters were extremely successful in the UFC, but then started to fail badly later on (whether its failed drug tests, declining/aging etc). Also, which one of these fighters downfalls affected you the most?

Examples
Rashad Evans - was the UFC LHW champion. After Jon Jones loss, he was never the same, losing 6 of his next 8 fights
Chuck Liddell - Loss 5 of his last six fights, was once the champion and top fighter in the organization
Ronda, Jon Jones etc

The downfall that affected me the most was Jose Aldo. To see him in tears was painful, and also seeing him taking brutal beatings from Max Halloway on two different occasions is just too much. He was the one who made me a fan of MMA

So, who had the worse fall from grace, and which one affected you the most?

Gray Maynard was one punch away from the title multiple times, then later turned into a punching bag.

Anderson Silva. Was one of the guys who got me hooked on UFC. Was a spectacular finisher and had a long MW title reign. Then started fooling around, got caught by Weidman twice, busted for dick pills twice, now barely an afterthought in the division he once lorded over.

unlucky. Lots of fighters were so close to winning titles
alistair, DC almost beat jones too and would have ended the paper champ discussion

Karo is probably the most talented guy we have seen in mma.

Yeah its sad to see a legend go out like that. Saw a video of him walking around being interviewed. No one in the public even recognized or cared about him. In his old days he probably would have been swarmed

Ronda. She was truly a once ever athlete. :(

Hendricks had a spectacular downfall. Spectacular as in enjoyable.

Ronda's downfall was indeed spectacular. People were celebrating like they won the lotto!

The betting line was pretty crazy like +800 for Holm if I remember right. So they might of placed a bet on her. Pretty much a small lottery win. Also if they bet on a KO on top of that.

Brandon Vera
Big foot Silva
Michael Bisping[one more loss from epic befallen]
Johnny Hendricks
Bj penn

.
.just to name a few

I think the bar were supporters of Holly because it was in her home town. But there were many other bar reactions were people clapped and jumped screaming in excitement
I checked the Ronda vs Holly PBP discussion thread and literally everyone was lIKE yes yes yes yes yes !! when holly knocked her out

Conor

starched by short notice journeyman Nate Diaz
TKO'd by a 40 year old retired boxer
stripped of all his titles
violent, psychotic outburst resulting in legal troubles
too shook to even book the fight to get his belt back

it's a sad, but too frequently told, story in the sports world. I expect him to announce his bankruptcy and reality TV show any day now.

Oh definitely. It was a glorious day to me for sure. Just commenting on the lottery part. In hindsight it was a very easy pick and the lines had Holly as a super underdog so pretty much you could hit a mini lottery knowing the winning numbers on that fight.
