Fedor, prime elbows Jones and probably Rockhold who was fucking death of he got on top of you.

Honourable mention to Derrick Lewis who isn't in top that often but when he is it's brutal.

too many variables to answer with a THAT guy type of response
ALL wrestlers on that list

I think its way more fun watching a kickboxer/striker type throwing GnP
they are not there nearly as often, but when they are there. its clobberin time
take AA as an example

So if we are going to say what wrestler had the best GnP (historically)
Coleman in the first 4 mins until he gassed
bigfoot had more devastating GnP than Fedor

Who is the best?
The guy beating the brains out of the semi conscious fighter 100% of the time

As mentioned hard fucking question, so many good options. Since the choice was three I voted Coleman since he was the "Godfather" of GnP, Fedor since most of his ground and pound wasn't from mount, but was from slipping upkicks and raining down punches, and Khabib cause his control was so overwhelming. Cain probably would be my 4th choice

Additionally, not enough violent ground and pound these days. I see a lot of guys that strike in volume cause they know the ref might stop it, but it's glorious when you see the fighter that clearly is trying to hurt someone.

Fedor, Jones, and I'm gonna get ballsy and choose Rockhold for third.

Cain, Fedor, Hughes.

Honorable mention: Mark Coleman, Father of the GNP

Not ground and pound per-say but Back in The Day Kenny Florian drag people down then slice and dice them with his sharp ass elbows...

I think Rory did it better, Georges just did it more often.

How did I know this was going to be a salty Fedor fan mad at how the other thread had been going

Fedor and Khabib both have that ability to punish with punches in all positions and they absolutely melted through people with the pace, pressure and power of their assault. I'd arguably put Cain over Khabib but his sample size is too small despite how brutal he was.

Jones is unique because unlike most ground and pound fighters he specialized in elbows and he throws them as effortless as punches with twice the amount of power. When Jones was on top it wasn't a matter of if he can land a fight altering elbow it was a matter of when he will. I hate including Jones in these lists because he's been popped for cheating but in terms of pure ability cheating or not he is the most dangerous we've seen from top control.

I really am in the dark as to why anyone thinks Khabib is near the top of the list. He has a grand total of one finish by GnP in the UFC.

What Khabib was good at in the UFC was getting strikers down who don't have much on the ground and choking them. That was what happened in his most high-level wins; Chuck Olives also submitted Khabib's best opponents, so nothing special there.

If we are talking TD, ground control, and positioning, then GSP is just as high on the list as Khabib, so I don't know why he isn't on the list. If we are talking submissions, Khabib doesn't fall in the top 10. Nothing special about choking Conor, Justin, or Dustin.

I voted Jones, Fedor and Khabib

I think Anderson Silva is really underrated in this aspect.

I don't really recall anyone surviving when he was on top landing shots.
