Holding out for higher profile fights it seems. Which I get. He fights a style that is very damaging to himself, especially when fighting top guys. Makes sense he's only interested taking that damage on bigger fights. But yeah it's definitely costing him relevance in the division. He beat Chandler, and Chandler has taken another L on top of that since. But with his KO over tony Chandler feels way more relevant to LW than Gaethje atm just because he's still getting in there.
