Down the rankings.....

He can still cash a few more checks if he wants, but no more fighting anyone in or near the top 10. Hard to suggest retirement in this economy, 2-3 more fights to pay off any potential debt and keep adding to retirement savings.

He took some heavy heavy shots at the end, I honestly don't want to see him get hurt like that.

back to fuckin Texas and hopefully never to appear again. i love Black Beast and wanted him to be the champion. but that shit was embarrassing.

watching that fight, it makes you wonder how shit is Tallison Texeira. all you had to do was move around a little and Black Beast would've beaten himself. instead he ran chin first into the only way Lewis can win.

As much flak as Paddy is rightfully receiving, he was at least as tough as nails and landed a lot of clean strikes on Gaethje. Lewis looked awful. I honestly think some of the earliest UFC strikers (Pat Smith, Gordeau, Rosier, etc.) could've beaten him tonight. He couldn't hit anything but air, was downed by a jab and didn't even try to fight off his back...just ate shots like a beached whale.

Exactly.
He might shadow realm his next opponent and then we’ll be thinking “he’s still got it”.

I mean, this is just kinda what Lewis does. He gets a highlight or he wilts and gives up. This fight didn’t make me think it was time to hang it up any more than any other loss he’s had.

Why would he retire? Probably overpaid at this point. Borderlining Bob Sapp out there with his effort lol

i don't even know why Paddy is receiving flak. everyone basically expected him to get knocked out and he avoided that. people are saying this is par for the course for Lewis, but i don't know what they're watching. he's had many comeback wins where he had to absorb and recover from MUCH bigger shots than what happened tonight. there is no way to defend his performance tonight, he looked like he didn't even give a shit.

He looked ok in the first with the kicks and pressure but he gassed so fast.
