When Tom KOs Jones, don't make excuses for Jon. Jon has all the advantages

It's not the age as much as that Jones just isn't a natural HW. He's a LHW with a beer gut. (An all time talent of course, but still not a natural HW).

Anyone who's being honest knows he looked slow vs Stipe. It's just that Stipe looked even slower, stuck in mud.

Jones will have the experience edge for sure. He's a brilliant fight tactician. He's seen it all. But physically he's gonna be at a huge disadvantage. Aspinall is a true HW. Bigger frame by far. And he moves like a WW. He will be bigger and faster.

I agree that Tom likely KO's Jon. And even though he's a natural LHW, Jones is still at 37-38 one of the best HW's on the planet. So no, there shouldn't be "excuses". But there should be context.

Excuses for who. Jones is the champ and Tom is interim. These are the 2 best on the roster and probably the planet. Jon is never at a size disadvantage he has the longest reach on earth and the height. Those are the 2 most important factors by far. Whoever wins gets bragging rights and earned their belt.

That is very true. There is a difference between being a natural at a weight class and putting on size. Tom is a natural HW with a HW frame while Jon is better suited for 205 and his body works better at that weight. At HW he's clearly not his best physical shape. Still a top HW no question, I mean he's champion. But vs in prime elite HWs, I don' think Jon would that great.

Being 37 at HW is a huge experience advantage.

Jon will be 38 by the time the fight happens... that is not an advantage.

It took Jon nearly 3 full rounds to finish Stipe at 42 years old coming off a near 4 year lay off. But yet he's gonna end Aspinal quickly??

How does that make sense??

Aspinall is below 500 aftef 1 round. His win against a 45 year old arlovski.
He has a punchers chance just like everyone else. Jones annihilated stipe.

It won't be because he's younger. Being 37 at HW is a huge experience advantage. A lot of the younger up and coming HWs lose to the more experienced, older ones. It's not like other divisions. Tom hasn't even been 5 rounds before either so Jones has a huge experience advantage
If Jon actually fights Tom, win or lose, I will have more resect for him. I don't see it happening.

I don’t know why people try and pretend like Jon didn’t nearly, and arguably possibly should’ve, finished Stipe in 2 minutes with that GNP.

His ground game’s as strong as ever which is his obvious path to victory against Tom or anybody.

I also don’t understand why people try and mock Jon for finishing Stipe standing with a spinning back kick. He’s never done that before and he’s rarely even finished a fight standing period. What exactly are we mocking him for? That’s new for Jon lmao.

I mean jones finished gane in 2 minutes, if he had the stipe fight before the gane fight would anyone be picking jon to finish gane early? I think the stipe fight where he had no respect for stipe's skills isn't the best example of how he would approach a fight with a dangerous contender

Francis Ngannou is older than Jon....
Im sure if Francis would KOd Jon everyone would say "Jon out of his prime, hes too old now"

Big list of excuses for Jon.

"Turinabol pulsing" even tho there is literally 0 evidence that turinabol pulses,

"Didnt train for Gus fight" in the interview before he said he was excited to finaly fight someone who is 6´3+

"Didnt do his best" against Reyes, as Dan Hardy said: Jon took that fight to decision because he wanted to.
Taking brain damage just for fun? surely that was the reason for losing to the number 8 ranked LHW

"Tainted proteinpowder" damm those rich people put turinabol in his protein

"Dick pills" Took dick pills 4 minutes before the USADA knocked on the door, how unlucky right

How about, Reyes? Smith? Gus?
Im sure you think Those 3 would KO Tom right?

You can always check Gus vs Werdum if u want to know how good Gus really is... took Jon 8 rounds and an illegal groin shoot to do that <smile>

those were bad performances where he didn't wrestle or struggled to take them down in reyes' case, aspinall's wrestling still hasn't been tested. I'd pick tom to win but this idea that Jon is unlikely to win is stupid
