Most of the elite BW's are already matched up, except him and Merab.

Also apparently Aljo will go to fw if he wins against Cejudo.
And since Sean has been promised the title shot next, that means Petr won't get that oppurtunity for a while.

I think he should fight either Merab or Cruz.
He will sonner or later have to fight Merab. That's a much harder fight though, especially since he has lost so many Split decisions.

In my opinion he should beat Cruz next and then Merab.
If he can get past Merab then he deserves to be champion again.

No tweets since October 22nd, and it was "Fu*k the judges.'. There was some talk about him wanting to leave the UFC. Sounds like the guy is taking some time off. Simon called him out a couple of weeks ago, but radio silence on Petr's part.

Merab would be the only fight for him right now. You have Sterling not sure if he can fight in March or April and if he cant he's gotta get surgery and will be out till end of the year. YOu got O Malley waiting for a title shot, could be vs Sterling/Cejudo winner or an interim vs Cejudo if Sterling cant fight.

So if its not Merab next maybe its Chito if he wins his next fight cause Chito wont be getting a title shot next either with the div being backed up. I understand he's pissed he thought he beat Sterling and def should have won vs O Malley but he should just back in there and right the ship. Get a win and get back in line for a title shot.

Looking back he fucked himself so bad with that knee, he had that Sterling fight won and was on his way to putting Sterling behind him.

He may be done. These decision losses have destroyed him

He is angry that his chances of avenging them are little now and he is further away from a title shot

The last thing I know, he was thinking to leave the UFC and sign up for other company

I'd love to see him fight again in the UFC. I can totally understand his bitterness, but he did rise to become UFC champ, so the cards couldn't have been too stacked against him. Maybe he feels that he can be champ again, but not for the UFC? I'll tune in for his next fight anyway, regardless of who he's fighting for.

So Yan can beat up on an "over the hill" Cruz and everyone can say he's the GOAT again ?? ....no thank you LOL

Just the ripple effect of one of the most horrible
Decisions you’ll see, nbd though judges got the winner right in Dana’s eyes and pocketbook which is all that matters.

I think the Yan train derailed after three losses. I still love to see him fight anyone though.

this is such an anomalous situation where the best fighter in the division is technically on a 3-fight skid. glad he had the chance to become champ. he could certainly become champion again if he stuck around, but at this point the damage is done. he’s never gonna trust the ufc or commission to give him a fair shake. he should just go back to russia and tell everyone it’s rigged.

The so-called best fighter got 2 fair losses against Sterling and was only robbed against Sean.

But he was so good that he found a way to get robbed by Sean, because he wasn't dominant enough to get an indisputable win, even against bad judges.

He won against Sean, but everyone thought he would have been much more dominant in that fight.

That's what happens with overhyped fighters and there's a reason why he's not the current champ, because he isn't good enough to be a champion after all :

- Stupid foul
- Lost the rematch
- Unable to completely dominate a good but not exceptional opponent without any controversy, hence why he got robbed. Yes he got robbed, but his performance was unimpressive against Sean for a so-called great fighter
