What was the worst Khabib Beatdown

People saying Conor McGregor, need to take off their McGregor hate glasses, and think with a clear mind.

I dont like McGregor, but round 1 and 3 wasnt exactly a beatdown from khabib.

I think barboza fight may have been the worst. From start to finish

Fans with hate glasses on will never realize how much Khabib respected the dangers of Conor early and how important it was for Khabib to drain Conor without taking risks in the 1st round. He essentially just held on to Conor for the entire first round.

Agreed. The Conor fight wasn't the bell to bell thrashing people like to romanticize.

Biggest coming out party was Johnson. I knew after that fight it was a matter of time that he'd hold the belt and never lose it.

Biggest "let's all sit around and watch this fight to learn something new in terms of technique" fight was Barboza. Guys at gyms would literally watch it to watch the sport evolve and analyze what happened afterward, fun stuff. No one in the sport like that today to reach that sort of technique-excitement-level.

Biggest humilation/mental defeat in the the sport's history was Conor. He not only physically destroyed him, he morally and spiritually destroyed him. Conor has been a broken felon junkie ever since / most complete destruction so far in this sport. Guy still wakes up in a cold junkie sweat posting about Khabib after night terrors to this day.

I said "the sport's history"

That means, by definition, a singular sport. And obviously the only "singular sport" I was talking about was MMA.

Now if I left out the apostrophe (showing that history was possessed by a single sport) and didn't use the word "the" so that I said "sports history" or even more "all of sports history" then you'd have a point.

I have nothing against Conor, but that is a really embarrassing attempt to defend him. You are really trying to say Khabib wrestling was somehow a complement to Conor? Sorry to be the one to tell you but Khabib did that with many other guys before Conor.

In fact other guys actually got back up instead of just sitting on their ass like Conor did every time before he quit, definitely not the round, fight, or opponent to try to present as a positive for Conor.

Barbosa beatdown was worse because there were expectations that'd it go so much differently.

The narrative going into that fight was that Khabibs record was padded against non strikers, that Barbosa was one of the division elites who would pick him apart.

Tavares. It didn't go on as long but he took about 3 elbows and 5 hammer fists while he was already out. Shit was nasty

Yeah the judges gave him the 3rd. However when you rewatch the fight, I don't really see how.

Yeah I never actually counted the strikes thrown in that round but they were trading pretty much equally the entire round. And conor was gassed throwing strikes that didn’t have much power on them.

INB4 :p
Conor at least hung in there for awhile

Holloway landed more punches against Kattar and Yair, than Khabib in his entire UFC career.
Khabib had mercy with his submissions

He really did beat the fuck out of Darrell Horcher on 2 days notice, and Johnson took a smashing. Conor took the most prolonged smashing

Johnson was the one that made you think the referee should stop this. Barboza was gettin like that too.

When Khabib was talkin to MJ like that you know the guy had no shot and was just surviving on willpower.
Johnson was on the bottom getting yelled at and mauled and the man STILL had the peaches to throw a back fist from bottom. I became a fan for life after that

And you defending the English language sir lol

Now to see it from another perspective, the worst beat down which change someone 180 is Justin Gaethje to Tony Ferguson. it was the most impactful because of being in the Apex where you heard with clarity the punches in all its sickening AMSR, it turn Tony from the KIng that never was to the Jester at Large. THe memmorable hop, skip and head shaking by Justin final punches and Tony silent "No Mas" to Herb Dean.

He won round 1 fair and square. Khabib couldn't cut the cage and just kept running around like an amateur.

Gaethje has nothing on the ground, but that was far from a beat down, especially when all the worst bruises were on Khabib after the fact.
and you do know that Khabib was fighting with a broken toe right ?
he didn't broke it during he fight, it was broken before

Barboza was concussed to all hell that night

Then Kevin Lee proceeded to use that blue print and provided a very similar beatdown

Barboza has hurt my soul for far too long, since Jamie Varner put it on him

<mma1>
I'd argue Kevin Lee put a worse beatdown on Barboza than Khabib did. People love to post that wheel kick Barboza landed on Lee but honestly that fight was a worse one sided beatdown than the Khabib one.
