It's been 9 months since I've got mine and no off-the-shelf emulator distro images to be found.

Being a Linux user for 20+ years I know all the blabber like desktop replacement (which is a lie, no pointer laggin' device can be said to be a desktop replacement), being honest 99% of people either bought it to use as an emulator box or a NAS/tor/torrent server.

I already have a x86 barebone as NAS, what did you guys do with yours?

Seems to me Raspberry Pi 4 is beefier, yet still lagging behind the 3...

You guys are so original lol :v

Something around your house with sensors? I've been planning on doing a home monitoring system system with a pi 4 as the central server then a couple pi zeros for different zones in the house, but all the stuff is just sitting on my shelf as well.

I bought mine (Rasberry Pi 4) created login updated etc.
then I found out that I could not use it, or at least it is not fully supported, in Retro Pi yet.
I wanted to put it in a Arcade 1 up cabinet. So it has just sat in my closet unused for months.

You could use it for adblocker and set up Pi hole but Im pretty sure you are already aware of that.

Programmers think they're soooooo funny . Pi-holes, bits, bytes, nibbles. Gtfo

That's about my plan (and everyone else's) as well, I'd settle for a good Kodi media player as plan B, but LibreElec also refused to work here, did you try it?

Adblocking here is done via browser plugins (Ublock + NoScript), still, still I might give PiHole a go now that DNS66 stopped working in latest Android's releases.
Still, I'd be doing it in my NAS, as it's already part of the network. (NAS/torrent/OpenVPN gateway/MySQL/syslog-ng/miniDLNA server)

I suppose Google will push hard for DNSSEC and/or DNS-TLS in the upcoming months mostly because of these, what a bummer for do no evil, eh?

I heard warm apple pi is good for things other than good eating...

i got my dual stratix on
pipeline sniffin is great with those

In what way specifically?

Looking forward to seeing how it handles PSP.

So far there are no emulator distros for RPi 4 bc of a change in video drivers.

You can throw Debian at it and download some emulators, got mednafen running on mine, but then you'll have to either get a keyboard/mouse or go thru all the fuzz of setting up a joystick interface/retropie/kodi.

Right now if you're planning on buying one to use it as an emulator I'd recommend you to get a Pi 3.

I’ve been thinking of getting one to fuck around with (not a warm apple one though)
