me and my Friends are going to ufc 159 in newark nj and im wondering what time should we get there?

The day before. A week if you want to be sure to get in.

I like to get to events an hour before the first fight starts, which is usually when they open the doors. Pretty much what I'm saying is, get there when the doors open.

That seems a bit excessive. Do you like listening to bad music and ads for Chevy trucks or something?

Yea, as early as possible is your best bet. Figure out where things are in the arena, where your seat is, food, merch, bathroom, etc. Not to mention parking and all that bullshit.

45 minutes early. gives you time to meet some of the possible fighters that could be attending

At least half an hour before the first prelim

Funny guy. You get there early enough and you can watch about half the card from the floor where the fighters walk by. People who get those seats usually only show up for the main event. Watched 3/4 of the Diaz vs Miller card on the floor literally right where the fighters walk by.

Get there like one hour before the prelims so you can pregame properly. Find a bar near by and kill some beers with your friends. If you can't find a bar nearby then go to a liquor store or somewhere nearby that sells booze and buy a couple of tall cans or whatever you want to drink and kill those in your car in the parking lot. Once you are done with your drinks go in and find your seats. After finding your seats and you are settled in either you go get some more drinks and have a friend stay and protect your seats or you stay and have them go. Make sure you sip on your beer(s) just enough to maintain a buzz throughout the event and to save some money on their overpriced beer but if you have Anderson Silva $$$money$$$ you can go ahead and buy as much beer as you want in there (WARNING: If you go nonstop with beer once in there you might experience some loss of memory and forget everything you saw).

Enjoy.

P.S. If you don't drink this information is most likely worthless to you. If that is case instead get there 15 minutes before the prelims and you should be fine.

Awkward moment when Cain Velasquez walks up to you and tells you your sitting in his seet :icon_lol:

Watch the facebook fights at home or your hotel, and then head to the arena for the FX fights

I show up an hour before the first fight (or whenever the doors open) so I can have a few beers, some nachos, and take a look at the merch stands and get to my seat before the first prelim.

i dont understand why people attend ufc event.... i mean u can sit at home comfortably
and have much better view..... i wondering if people sitting at far top be able to see and enjoy the show?

That is what I do as well. Find out where exactly the seats are, go get some beers, shop for some new t-shirts and sit down and chat with my buds.

People do this all the time for any pro sport, really.
