So last weekend I went to GLORY 85 together with @TacticalTijs
The fights were great and full of action, we truly had a blast, but the heavyweight-tournament semi finals in Tariq Osaro vs Jahfarr Wilnis gave me freaking flashbacks to Ivan Drago vs Apollo Creed.
I sat close to the ring and really couldn’t believe my eyes and thought the poor Wilnis was going to fucking die in that ring, waiting for the ref to stop the fight but it just didn’t happen.
Personally I thought the stoppage was very late.

So that made me wonder, what do you guys think of this stoppage (this is the final sequence on top of a battering second round)? Do you agree with the referee, or should this fight have been stopped way before?

It’s worth to note that GLORY doesn’t have standing 8-counts.
Imo, if they did use standing 8-counts, I think the referee would’ve intervened way before, because giving someone an 8-count has less impact on the outcome of a fight than counting someone out.

This one was pretty bad too imo (swipe for the ultimate stoppage):

I like the 2nd video how after a knockdown the ref instead of making the fighter walk towards her or wiping the gloves she just slaps the gloves and sends a concussed man back out there to satiate the just bleed god.

Jesus that 1st one was bad. Dude was out on his feet and was being held up by the ropes.. Don't know how the fck that guy is a ref

You are creepy and way too concerned with publicizing your face on sherdog.

I know it’s no MMA, but I wanted to share this with you guys and I’m curious about your opinion.

These clips are pretty awesome, but the pic with Hoost is the absolute gem in this thread sir.

Can't imagine wanting any validation from this community of mental deficients.
Loll, I’m not asking for validation by any means.
I know a lot of users on here like to see those pics, and that’s why I share them. I just find it cool to be the “man on the ground” for this community, that’s all bud
Cheers:)
