Reputational damage control and political stability are no lawful justifications for withholding legally required disclosures, but in the recent release of the Epstein files by the DOJ:
-Hundreds of pages were released fully blacked out, providing zero readable content
-The release was incomplete and missed statutory deadlines
-Some documents reportedly disappeared or were altered post-release

So what happens next?
Who will react when the law is undermined?
Are the invisible powers behind this case stronger than ordinary accountability?

Nothing happens next because nothing needs to happen -- well, for the "system" -- but rest assured, people are PISSED. Remember -- they are "elected" fucks that were put in place to represent us -- question that shit every day.

Blacked out pages, missed deadlines -- “lost” documents aren’t failures -- they’re fuckin' features at this point. -- The law ain't a self "executing" force of nature -- it’s a tool used by people (OBVIOUS WHO IS HIDING WHAT) -- who decide when it applies.

When "compliance" threatens institutional damage -- "compliance" gets redefined until it’s fucking meaningless. -- You might want to just watch George Carlin "Euphemisms" to see what I mean.

They handed the general populace jack and shit. The amount of reach and damage this operation alone is proof of fuckin' absurd -- then again, we're talking about a government that was willing (historically documented) to commit murder of it's own populace as a pretext to invade cuba. (omg, conspiracy, operation northwooods)

Ain't this special?

You think anything will be honest?

Sadly not much. We all know Pam Bondi won't prosecute herself.

The only meaningful venue to hold Trump's DOJ accountable is Congress. They would have to either impeach Pam Bondi, or drag her into Congress to testify and hold her in contempt.

Will they do this? I don't have much faith.

It spans decades -- literally power protecting power.

Well we'll probably bomb some brown people to distract, maybe insult transexuals a bunch. You all are learning what we knew for 30 years. Kind of shows you what one side is about. Don't worry, they'll bring up Clinton a bunch they've been doing that for 30 years as well and ignore who we say did it. It's political gain not justice. Just relax and enjoy the show, you are paying for it in taxes.

The Deep State is clearly fighting to keep this stuff hidden but President Trump signing the law to force it to be released is a great first step. And whether you agree with everything that the President does or not (personally, I do not support some of his policies), at least he is fighting to get the information out to the public (which, to be honest, I was starting to doubt before he pushed congress to pass the disclosure law).

No question. It's obvious that powerful democrats & donors, and very likely some Republicans too were caught red-handed in the Epstein cookie jar.

Republicans could have gone after Bill Clinton during the Bush era, as this investigation started in 2005-2006. The Democrats tried to prevent this investigation from becoming public during the Obama administration.

But now Trump is just doing the same thing he swore he would never do. He has become part of the swamp he swore to drain.

lol, no.

It's just Trump trying to protect his own ass. He can't reveal too much about other Epstein abusers, because it has been implied that there are copies of at least some of the Epstein files outside of government control. For example, if Trump burns Bill Clinton and the DOJ prosecuted him, Clinton could release his own copies of damning evidence on Trump to the media. Mutually assured destruction.

Anything to drag attention off the actual issue and split the audience into "teams" -- Deflection ain't incompetence -- it’s strategy. GO YOUR TEAM! I guess?

You don’t have to win the argument if you can change the fuckin' subject -- and you don’t have to hide the truth if you can drown it in this bullshit noise.

That’s not stupidity -- that’s "them" running fuckin' crowd control -- and it works because people keep falling for it. -- Or were you trying to say that misdirection Penn and Teller is what the government does to people? You know, the same one willing to lie us into anything plays party politics at the end of the day?

The same thing that happened when he GOP decided that senators didn't have to show up for congressional subpoenas.

Not a goddamn thing.

I'm not saying "read the room" before ya post, but when ya just generalize this kinda garbage with a one-off, no "thought" post, ya really missed the fuckin' point of every point made in the thread. Keep it biased as fuck though -- seems like sounds logic. Your odds are improving (not that we track such things) for most likely banned in 2026 (that's a maybe joke)

I guess eventually the people will have had enough.

Unfortunately we have a state with unlimited surveillance capabilities soon to leverage AI that can use predictive modeling and instantaneous data aggregation so that no legitimate threat to tyranny will make it into information sphere - e.g. no rebellion or dissent will be possible.
