What K-1 should do to return to it's former glory?

To attract a lot of money. Money that the company doesn't have. At this point, K-1 should become competitive with Glory and One at least. After that we can talk about becoming the old golden K-1.

I'm sorry to say this, but it's the truth. And it's visible when One steals their fighters. Under the circumstances, even the top athletes in Japan would walk to fight in Glory, if Glory focused on the lighter divisions.

Meanwhile, the K-1 guys are making their money promoting ONE. Chatri doesn't want to co-promote, he wants to be number 1 in the region. The Thai is a Trump-style businessman. And K-1 has nothing to do, since it is not speaking from this position.

Its impossible now. If anything another J-org would take up the mantle. RISE has equalled them in talent in short order, and Knockout has better rules.

Focus on having all top 15 under 63kg best kickboxing fighters of the world. Make it some kind of Japan vs Thailand vs China affair. Forget 70kg and HW.

If they want to have a more western-ish category, make the same with 80kg that is neglected everywhere. Don't make anything over that weightclass, in fact, after de Vries vs Liu Ce, they should never again make any fight over 80kg, Glory won there.

It will almost certainly never be what it was. It's still a major promotion, but it really needs to figure out how to resolve thier international brocasting issues to solidify themselves as an international promotion.

I'd love them to focus back on bringing in multiple stylists again.
Reach out to Karate guys. Savate. Taekwondo. Get some of that "K" back in the k-1.

It's not going to happen. That was a moment in time, be happy if you were there to experience it.

They did well when they rebuilt and focused on the Japanese fighters and built up Takeru, but that's probably as far as they can go.;

Seems like some of their top talent is leaving for ONE and RISE. Not rooting for their downfall at all, but I hope Feng ends up in ONE.
