For me it's an F1 racecar driver. And it goes like this:

1. I win a race. My bosses say I'm amazing and give me a bonus.

2. Before the next race, they say, "Sorry about this but we have to cut expenses. We've downsized your pit crew from 20 people to 1 person. But we have faith in you! You can still win!"

3. Despite the disadvantage, I manage to win the next race. Then they say, "Hey good job. From now on winning isn't good enough, you need to break the world record. Also, we laid off your last pit guy, but you know how to change a tire, right?"

4. Despite this, I manage to break the world record. My bosses say, "Look, it's not enough to just ride the upward trend. Your performance is a straight line going up. We want a curved line that goes up exponentially. Also, tires are expensive so you're just going to use these old ones for the entire race. What? You're the one that complained about having to change tires. Now you don't need to."

5. I win the next race but don't set a new world record. They say "We're starting to ask ourselves if you're the right person to drive this car."

I would say mine is like playing a board game but the rules, and goals of the game constantly change.

So I want fries with that ? You make them, fast. And your boss still isn´t content ?

I work a lot in quality assurance, developing training programs for staff, and stuff like that.

I often feel like that guy at the circus whose job it is to teach a bear how to ride a tricycle.

I am a home builder for those who live on computers

I think it is against the sites rules for me to make the comparison I want to make.

Getting alot of "we need to do more with less" and "hurry up and wait" lately.
