The Howard that used to push the envelope in every which way possible.

Anways, few years go by and I haven't listened to him at all. Today I am checking out some clips on YouTube and it s like wtf happened to this guy? He seems complitely pc'd, not saying anything bad about anybody anymore. Interviews dull and boring, kiss-assy. Wtf man?

Steve Martin would still be killing it, but he realized he had grown out of his youthful comedy that made him a national sensation, and gracefully transitioned into serious dramatic writing. Still the philosophical clown prince of comedy.

The ones who hang on too long are a bit like the old stars who keep getting plastic surgery until they look like you stretched a latex balloon over a sea shell. Let it go. Have some dignity. Not every stage of life is going to be about you as a sex symbol. Go where the river takes you.
