You barely see anyone wear TapouT anymore and they don't sponsor as much as they used to, they used to be the biggest and most popular, what happend?

They have always been more involved with the amatuer up and coming fighters in the smaller orgs.

They did get big with the UFC for a bit, wonder if they just backed off on the big name costs for financial reasons?

Bros are too busy making fun of Planet Fitness instead of wearing TapouT shirts

There website says official lifestyle apparel of the UFC. So they cant be backed off to much.

See it trending a lot more in the UK now due to it being sold in JD.

Probably because overall that corny MMA/gothic/whatever style of clothing is no longer in style.

Don't know, don't care.

Shit sucks.

Some guys got rich, good for them.

You don't see it as much as there are so many different brands to choose from now. I never liked the clothing but always respected Mask, Punkass and Skrape for what they did, especially Mask, who knows where the sport would be without them.

a couple things really happened really

1) Tapout was sold to a much larger company that handles lots of apparel. It is no longer someones passion, just another business.

2) Everybody and their mother figured out that the profit margin on MMA shirts at 40-50 bucks a pop is ridiculous and tried to hop in to the market

Mask was the main driving force behind tapout, it was a major blow to lose him. I believe Punkass is still president of tapout though.

It's the same way with Warrior Wear.
They were bought out by Trinity, and they canceled all the sponsorships for the companies they bought, told everybody to re-apply and basically aren't spending the money that those companies used to spend.

We used to be sponsored by Warrior Wear and decided to leave them after that and ended up with Rev Gear, who is actually a much better sponsor by the way.
