What Are LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball Getting Themselves into in Lithuania?

I'm from Lithuania.

It may have been a good idea for the brothers to come but not to Prienai Vytautas. The coach there speaks 0 English and has a history of not being able to explain to foreign players what he wants from them. Its especially bad during time outs when communication and understanding is key.the team is doing quite poorly this season. Also Prienai has a 10k population so they will be bored out of their minds there. Vytautas tends to shoot alot of 3s

Decent article about the Ball brothers signing one-year deals to Club Prienai Vytautas in Prienai, Lithuania.

Lavar says through his Big Baller IG account is that its not about the money and that their following a dream to play in the pros.

The team's head coach can't speak a lick of English and they will be the lone Americans on the team.

The team also could care less. Their Sports Director made it clear that the signing of the Ball Brothers has less to do with basketball than marketing. Teammates also see "off-court" opportunities with the arrival of the Balls. One of the players is auctioning off his season membership to games on his Facebook page.

What's your guys take on Lavar's move? Do you think he's using it as a stepping stone to get his son's in the NBA or strictly a publicly stunt/marketing move? And how do you think the Ball brothers will do in Southern Lithuania compared to life in Chino Hills?
Because Lavar burned his (sons') bridge with UCLA.

I'm betting that Lamelo is gonna lead the league in steals next season lmao

Shoplifting in a former Soviet state is probably not advised.

Should of let them finish school, knowing neither would get drafted.

Lonzo made it because he seems to be the hard working, talented not much to say type. I'm assuming he takes after the mom.

The other two boys are cut directly from Lavars cloth and therfore a different approach is needed. Playing in Lithuania will toughen them up, and show them what basketball life outisde of the NBA is really like.
