Khabib, Conor, Pereira, Volk, Cyborg, J.Jones, a bunch of other....all weight bullies, been hearing it for years. "They only win because they are bigger than their opponents"

Stupid expression. There is no such thing as a weight bully. The rules are the same for all fighters.

Cutting weight is extremally difficult and drains you. If you are capable of making this sacrifice and can properly rehydrate in 24 hours, and over-power your smaller opponent, than you are a true professional.

Saying someone is a weight bully is an uniformed, ignorant statement, coming from a fanboy that had his "favorite" beat up by a bigger fighter.

When "insert_forum_name" needs to cry and blame someone...-->he is a weightbully.

I really personally don't give a fuck, but there are a few fighters that are cutting way too much weight, like Costa and Pereira.

I'm curious, how much is to much? Romero weighed 207.2 lbs on fight night against Costa.

If you can compete at a high level I would argue any cut is fine.
your argument is accepted.

however, in my opinion, when a fighter needs to cut 50 pounds just to make weight, he is not meant to be in that weight category. all of this hocus pocus bullshit is weird anyways, bunch of dudes just cheating to fight at a weight class not natural to them, and everyone thinks its no problem, that's the way it should be.

It is legal cheating.

And weight cutting is ruining what combat sports is all about - to see who is the best fighter in a weight class , not see who can weight cut most to get the biggest advantage.

Yeah they all play under the same rules. There are some fighters better at taking advantage of the rules. Some of the ones you listed would have a ring weight far above their opponent. Just look when commissions do release that data how wide and varied how much people put on.

The advantage is also bigger for certain styles of fighter IMO.

It isn't the only reason they win, but looking at as an advantage for a fighter is clear and obvious. They wouldn't do it otherwise.

There is a difference of big guys cutting weight and dominating their weight class vs guys who kill themselves just for that advantage.

Weight cutting should be banned.

As understand it, college wrestling has effectively banned weight cutting by putting in strict protocols around weight.

The weight issue is a silly ass charade in the UFC. Everyone kills themselves to get down in weight where everyone ELSE kills themselves at. If you effectively ban weight cutting, then NO ONE would have to kill themselves to fight guys their own size. The whole thing is goofy as hell.

Trying to weigh 15-20lbs more than your opponent is great and all, but I’d rather have a height advantage.

The elephant in the room is PED bullies

Weight bully is the most hilarious thing to hear on a karate forum where everyone is 6'4, 250+ lbs and jacked.
