I personally think it's a safety blanket.

The whole point is to stare into your opponents eyes.

It's a very minor gripe, I know. Just watching the 214 presser and noticed one of the fighters wearing them.

Interesting presser though.

They seem to be giving Cyborg more respect, Dana shut a reporter down to let Cris answer a question which was nice to see.

I'm not a Jones fan but he came across like himself in this one and I have to say I found it a lot easier to stomach. Coming out topless with the gold chain too lol. He had way more fans than DC there too.

Hypocrisy is rife in all sports fans and its important to realise this. I mock jones for steroids yet cheer on other fighters who have been caught for worse. It's all a bit of fun picking sides on forums but at the end of the day I'm a fan o the sport more than any of the fighters.

Looking forward to Saturday.

It's Still Real To Me Dammit.!!

P.S. Luke Rockhold got friendzoned

When I saw that faceoff all I could think was:

Your "brand" is sh!t.

No one cares.

Flashback to Diego-Koscheck.

Woodley looked like a douche and I liked it.

There are two kinds of people who wear sunglasses indoors : blind people and assholes.

What do you all think about hiding your eyes behind shades for the face offs though.

Its part of the mental warfare imo.

Seems like a cop out.

I hope Maia wins simply to bring some Martial Art vibes back to the organisation.

Those faceoffs/staredowns don't mean jack. Some guys/gals prefer not to stare into their opponent's eyes until it's game time.

That's a fair and funny point! Look at Jones face. Burned!

Woodley knows he's toast if it goes to the ground so he won't wrestle much. If Maia can withstand the 19 Year Old Vitor-esque attack, he should win. I like Woodley too but Maia deserves it. he's one of the long list of fighters who have never been promoted correctly

I can't find the gif but Takanori Gomi wearing his sunglasses 'cause he was completely hammered at the weigh-ins vs Diego Sanchez

I see Maia gettin a hold of him. If he doesn't it could be another boring fight.

If I recall, the wannabe Freuds thought Anderson wearing a mask at the face-off with Vitor meant that he was "shook" and we all saw how that turned out in the end.
