Khabib is obviously very good. But he’s not even the clear cut LW GOAT, imo. One more defence, and I’d call him the LW GOAT. But he didn’t do it.

As for the overall GOAT.. He’s nowhere even near that conversation. And it’s ridiculous if anybody tries to put him in that conversation.

I don’t believe there is a one true GOAT in mma. There is one in wmma, but not for the men, imo.

It all depends on how these things are judged. Dominance, strength of schedule, PED busts, never losing verse coming back from a loss, exciting finishes, multiple weight classes, getting out on top verse fighting past the expiration date. There are way too many variables for anyone to agree on a single fighter.

Yeah, Khabib probably has the weakest resume of GOAT candidates. Still, he left on top of the game, took very little damage, and is seemingly doing well for himself outside of fighting. Next to GSP, he’s had probably the greatest MMA career ever. I’d rather be him than some former champ forced to take bare knuckle fights to get by.
