WCPW last saturday.!

Not posted in the wrestling thread for awhile.
But i went to a show last saturday, and it was pretty good.
Main event was kurt angle vs cody rhodes. and they put on a great match and were very respectful in a english kinda way, shaking hands and wot not.
Kurt won BTW..

And some of the wcpw regulars put on a great show and one match became a impromptu tag match when a certain alberto del rio made a surprise appearance..

In the day at the meet and greet,
And part the reason why i went , i got to meet jim cornette and the bret hart.
Bret was half the reason really, got a pic, shook his hand and told him i was at summer slam 92 as a kid and he and davey blew me away, and also that his match at wrestlemania 8 is one of my favourite of all time.
I think he appreciated that one, and i told him my uncle is johnny saint too, so yeah it was pretty cool encounter with a all time great..

I was at the show and got to meet Bret too - I really enjoyed the event as a whole and hope they come back in the future.

im so frigging glad somebody replied.
I dug out my 19 year old 'original' ECW hardcore wrestling t shirt, the one with join the revolution on the back, and dragged my kids and the mrs with me, they had a blast too.
But im a local lad, from timperley and altrincham is my local town i guess.. and to see bret hart stood in a ring in the ice rink, was such a bizarre thing, and just almost daunting for a old school fan like me..

I noticed just today his face book pic is him and hotrod..

Yeah I'm actually from Altrincham although perhaps more strangely it isn't the first time I'd seen Bret in the town. The lady that used to run his UK fan club lived in Altrincham and I saw him in a local bar in about 2002 or so (not long before Davey died iirc) but I was too scared to go up and talk to him.
My wife wasn't interested but luckily my old school friend is in to wrestling so I went with him.
