When Khabib Nurmagomedov fought Gleison Tibau I wasn't watching nearly as much UFC as I do now.

As Khabib's career progressed I always planned on going back and watching it, but I just never got around to it.

Well, today's the day I rectify the situation.

Starting Round 1 now.

First impressions:
Khabib looks so young!
Tibau is absolutely enormous. His arms are probably twice as big as Khabib's.

Will update after Round 1.

Ok so Round 1 was close, but pretty clearly 10-9 Khabib. He was much more aggressive and was constantly pressing the action. Tibau didn't do much.

Crazy how easily Tibau stuffs all the takedown attempts.

Yamasaki broke them up against the cage for no apparent reason.

Khabib's striking is extremely wild, pretty much just winging haymakers. It's crazy how much his boxing improved.

10-9 Nurmagomedov

Round 2 is also close, and tough to score. Khabib is still more aggressive but not as successful.

Tibau landed a good counter and a got takedown, but Khabib is right back up.

Tibau's TDD is ridiculous.

Another break against the fence for no reason. I forgot how bad Yamasaki was.

Khabib is getting wilder and wilder as the round goes on. Lands a jumping knee and a hook at the bell.

10-9 Tibau, 19-19

Pretty crazy that all three judges gave that round to Khabib. Definitely rewarding aggression.

The veins on Tibau's arms looked like he had Cobra Snakes imbedded in his skin in that fight, I don't think Blaydes or Cormier would have been able to take him down to be honest
