Fedor and his team really game planned well for cro cop, he showed techniques in this fight that we probably have yet to see from any other hw since like muay Thai Pyramid/temple blocking, where he blocks low mid and high kicks all in one move as well as countering cro cops deadliest weapon, his high kick by being faster with a knee needing counter kick of his own. And this is just defensively.

Take notes youngins, this is why Fedor is considered the goat.

Absolutely one of the greatest HW fights ever...

While the quality of HWs today certainly have a case for being more skilled overall than PRIDE era HWs, i dont think anyone can deny PRIDE era HW division was 10 times more intriguing and entertaining than what we have today, and possibly ever ( anything that comes close is maybe full roid pre USADA UFC with Ubereem and Lesnar ).

Just the fact that they all fought 4-5 times per year was enough for me to be sold...And instead of getting to know a fighter through various countdown shows, embeddeds, and press conferences, you were introduced to a fighter by him getting to REK some lower ranked dude, like every 2 months... And i personally loved it!

Second best fighter of all time. The way he stalked Cro Cop was sublime. He's like DC but with better movement and with better striking skills (much more tools). And I have DC in my top 5 all time.

On the other hand, Cro Cop looked good, but I must say that I could see a dude like Ngannou just taking his head clean off.
Cro Cop's skills >>>>>>>> Ngannou's, of course, but Cro Cop kept his hands low and got tag a lot, something that you can't afford with the current UFC's HW brass.

Fedor never threw a combo which didn't consist of winging punches lol (but he was fast I'll give you that).

DC prob threw a more technical 3 piece combo than Fedor has thrown in his entire career <Lmaoo>, and against a guy who battered Fedor like he was a kid.
