it's probably instinct/desperation, that was a long submission and only getting more pressure with no one breaking up the action

Oh human bites are terrible, don't get me wrong. I'm just really not a fan of cranking through the tap and continuing to crank until the ref gets in.

You can control and hold the sub without trying to break the joint post tap.

Biggest crime here is the sleepy ref though.

The body and mind is going to do what it can if it feels in true danger. Once you tap and the hold isn’t immediately released, AND then it gets cranked on with no sign of it releasing, you are going to get desperate. I can’t blame her after watching this. It’s kind of a normal reaction imho. When all else fails, tooth and nail

If the lady thought her arm was going to break, I think it's warranted, especially if no one stopping the girl from trying to break it. So it was pure animal instincts on her part to bite.

Saw that at a tournament once, ref missed a tap, kid went to sleep. That was right after they did away with corner judges too...
