Don’t know how to make a poll, sorry.

I’m going to say he wasn’t. I think he’s just an old school “macho man” who was extremely homophobic. Although there are many people who theorize he was based on the “coming out of the closet” scene and that the most homophobic people hate what they are. I just didn’t see enough evidence presented within the context of the show to sway me that he was indeed a homosexual. I think his issue is Napoleon syndrome more than closeted gayness. But that’s just like my opinion.

And yes, I referred to him as Phil Leonardo

I could see it either way. Remember that on top of being an old school homophobe, Vito was also married to his niece. So that would piss him off even more as a sign of disrespect.

I think it’s fairly obvious Tony got shot at the finale, but this one’s a little more ambiguous. I think David Chase puts things in for a reason, so yeah he probably is a fanook

He’s probably the best character on that show for his tirades and funny outbursts or whatever happened there.

His introductory scene was fire too.



Come to think of it, he does seem to have a problem with women and he turned down the BJ



Of all the antagonists in the show, I’ll rate him at the top with honorable mention to Richie.
