My gym used to be a Gold's, but they dropped the franchise and are Vent now.

I asked for a towel today because the towel rack was empty. Person behind the counter asked me what kind of membership I had. I say I don't know it transferred from golds. She goes "you don't know" in a condescending tone.

I don't feel like wasting my time bullshitting with this lady so I just say if you won't give me a towel them ill just sweat on the equipment, I don't care, then I turn around and walk away as she starts saying wait ill give you a towel. I kept walking and didn't look back.

I feel like a dick looking back on this but whatever. Stupid policy IMO.

No you were fine. For some reason, I've always had trouble with women that work the desk at the gym, except for one summer at a gym outside of Atlanta. She was as sweet as could be, but up here I've never had a positive interaction. It doesn't excuse it, but I'm sure that dealing with the wide variety of people that come through each day makes for a strange job experience. Still, you should have been given a towel or a polite explanation on why your membership status didn't allow for it (that's stupid, but like someone said she probably doesn't make the policies).

They said memberships carry over with no changes. Apparently needing a special membership to get a towel must not be a change.... even though it is.
