Hot Take Waldo has an iron chin, Lewis is doomed

I think Waldo may have the best chin at heavyweight of current active heavyweights.

18 heavyweight fights, never KOed, losses only via decision.

Took on heavy punchers too, look at the shots landed by Aspinall’s buddy after the eye poke, didn’t even wobble Waldo.



Don’t forget he lost to Pavo via decision who was murking everyone, and it’s not like Waldo is some fast footed kickboxer, he just ate shots from Sergei, and some of those shots would have KOed any other HW.



I don’t think Lewis can crack this chin, even if he lands flush. This is Mark Hunt level of chin.

Yeah, Lewis is basically Roy Nelson #2 and at some point relying on that one monster punch will stop working. You'll be too slow and telegraphed to land on the mid-level guys and a few will have monster chins like younger versions of Nelson or Hunt.

Have you even seen Waldo rocked though? I’ve never even seen the guy hurt I don’t think.

Skill wise, nothing bout Waldo is impressive, but he’s kind of a tank and has good cardio and that seems like a very bad match up for Lewis.

I fully expect Lewis to catch Waldo flush with something at some point, but I also think Waldo can tank the punch.

He fights much better when he is in the US but specifically not Texas. He is the worst home crowd fighter I've ever seen if he's not facing a guy who is just walking into his punches like a past it Latifi.

Maybe I'm just hoping Lewis has a couple more spectacular knockouts in him to continue building the record up to something absurd like 20, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Salsa Boy make Derrick look slow over a 15 minute ass whooping. I'm just here for the blood

I’m rooting for a violent Lewis KO too. I don’t know what it is about Waldo, but I’m just convinced his chin is going to go into legendary status as time goes on.
