She seems more motivated than ever, I've never seen her this fired up before!!!

So hungry, she is coming back better than ever and is gonna prove she is the very verg best!

Last time around she was traveling so much, modeling, doing movies, training camps in so many different places. This time around she seems so focused, you don't even see her on social media that much, she only did her training camp in Thailand (Tiger Muay Thai) like back in the day.

She is really locked in!!
She is getting that belt back folks!!

One thing that UFC fighters can learn by watching the Thai kick boxers is the fact that when they get rocked, they go forward 95% of the time and return heavy power shots. You don't see that in MMA. Those dude's stand their ground. Hopefully Shevchenko takes some of that grit with her into this fight.

Correct, the best way to defend after getting rocked is to punish the person for swarming you, especially against a striker that doesn't understand changing levels like a wrestler. Izzy did it somewhat against Poatan. But I think part of the problem is that it is a trained skillset, it has to become engrained because when you are rocked, you cannot think "I need to swing back" it must become your instinctual reaction. The normal reaction for people in duress is to retreat or turtle.

I agree with you. When I first saw that mentality my jaw dropped because usually when someone gets rocked they go into preservation mode. Those guys take the opposite approach and it seems completely instinctual. That is something I had never seen in my life and would love to see more of it in MMA in general.

What a bold prediction, Cotton.

Grasso was so far behind on her wrestling she can improve in-between fights still. I can see her having a little bit better TDD in this one imo.

Why are overlooking the fact that she was beating Grassos ass up until she got caught?
Val looked exceptional in that fight srsly

She can definitely win the title back but it will involve laying on Grasso and not taking any risks. Probably won't be the most entertaining fight.

I feel Valentina is still better at stand-up as well

She was winning at stand-up except for those 2 exchanges where Grasso got some nice clean hits in during the first round, other than that she was losing man
