I know I'm not the only one who does this. There are many times where I have seen some cool takedown variation or a cool striking combination and incorporated it into my game.

I love trying new combinations during training that I have seen other fighters use. I'll post some gifs of some recent ones I've had success with.

the body kick to same-side straight-punch machida does is one of my favorites...throws a lot of guys off

the jab to overhand right used by erik silva is great too

POST GIFS of some things you guys have seen during a fight that inspired you to try them out during your sparring sessions?

Gogoplata. Actually got it on somebody too lol.

Had to learn the step up front kick for my green belt. I thought it was pointless and impractical...

until I saw this fight

I learned the punch and walk away from Hunt. My timing is off though

tried this, always end up swinging at thin air after about 10-15 seconds lol

watching Floyd and trying to add what he does is quite hard, but when it lands you feel like a champ lol

I use most of what Machida does, some Fedor, and also a bit of boxing technique from Ali, Whitaker, RJJ, and Nas.

I love Hendo's inside legkicks to a overhand right and I use it often because I find it very effective against bigger, slower sparring partners.

man I hate the guy but he is the closest thing to perfection you'll see in boxing.

Machida's knee to the chest of an incoming opponent. Easy and extremely effective. I've tried to land his trip takedowns, but I really don't have the timing and always get punched in the face for my efforts.

Also Aldo's left hook to the body followed by a leg kick. This one has been working ok.
Hendo's inside leg kick + overhand is very easy and effective as well.

just make sure to force your opponent in the opposite direction as the sweep, needs to be done simultaneously to work though.
