How is everyone saying that the UFC/Dana Bald did Ankalaev dirty? First of all, they don’t “own” the judges.

Secondly, they did really push for Ankle-ev to be on this title fight.

They could easily have made it Clover vs Yan, but offered Anklev to Gloves and when he said no, they took him out and gave it to Jean.

Regardless of it being Globes or Brazovich, Ankiev was a lock on the title fight.

Probably because Dana got pissed after Ankalaev's post fight tantrum and booked two other guys to fight for the belt.

Clear as day from the commentary who the UFC wanted to win. There was no robbery, and Ankalaev shat the bed after the fight by acting entitled.

so the post was only made to butcher peoples' names, i take it. you missed one, 'yan' was spelled correctly.

i like the clover / gloves / globes sequence the best.
It was made to make the point I did. But I just couldn’t help myself. Been watching too much of Chael’s YT chanel I guess.

Some of the results make me think teh UFC does own teh judges.

The Paddy dec does lead to that believe. But it’s a double edged sword to risk their legitimacy in the long run. Idk. One thing is favoring matchups and rankings, straight up rigging fights can be the end of them if leaked.

To be gifted a title shot like that and the lay n pray for two full rounds, Dana's like nah dawg

Ankalaev is for the birds. Countless fowls. He wants to rule roost but his fans have flown the coup and flocked off. Now he’s just a lone seagull searching for the proverbial scraps.
Thats good work lad.

Agreed. The UFC wanted Ankalaev to win. Thought Jan would roll over him but Jan Blachowics ruined everything. Then Ankaleav acted like a jackass in the post fight so decided they wanted a new golden boy-- Jamahal Hill
Exactly.

Jan exposed Ankalaev's terrible striking, forcing Ank to retreat into a boring wrestle fest. They realized Ankalaev is not who they thought he was. He was given a huge opportunity and shat the bed. He has no one but himself to blame.

I suspect them pushing Ankalaev tells more about how the UFC views Jan than it does Ankalaev.

When Jan first turned champ their first thought was: "We can use this guy to build Adesanya"

I think the problem is Jan was in his mid 30s when he won the belt and he isn't the most popular champion. This puts him at the bottom in the eyes of the UFC.
