UFC fighters went 0-3 vs Rizin fighter Jiri
UFC fighters went 3-7 vs Rizin REJECT Kai Kara France
UFC fighters went 2-3 vs Rizin fighter Manel Kape

They have a losing record vs Rizin fighters 5-13.

Meanwhile Bellator fighters went to Japan under Rizin rules, gloves and they sweep them 5-0.

It's true. Numbers don't lie.

Its also crazy how Jiri and Nemkov are now probably the two best Light Heavyweights in the world. Imagine if somebody told you a few years ago that Rizin had the two most talented LHWs.

People were definitely talking them up though. Jiri, Nemkov, and Karl Albrektsson were being talked up quite a bit at the time. Karl hasn't quite had the impact those other two have had though.

If the UFC sent Islam, Volkanovski, Arnold Allen, Umar and Figgy, they would have gone 5-0 too.

Yes, we know the UFC doesn't have all the best fighters. It's been this way forever. They do have the most under one umbrella, however. I wish they were more aggressive in signing guys who were established already outside of the organization, rather than parsing through organizations like LFA or trying to find cheap regional talent. They've missed out on a ton of good fighters.

They really weren't, unless we're talking about hardcore fans. No casual UFC fan had any idea who they were. If you had said they were the best in the world you would have been laughed at.

I am going to assume he meant here? There's plenty of hardcore fans here. Most hardcore fans don't really post on IG, Reddit and other places. We're a small minority of the MMA fanbase and we care about these things. 99% of fans don't.

TS is also a gimmick and I'm shocked Guese isn't here yet, lol.

This is incredibly misleading. Rizin is a regional org at best, but they had great talent but obviously they couldn't keeep them like Jiri, Nemkov, Kape, and King Mo one could argue perhaps.

It's like saying UFC fighters lost x amount of times to PRIDE reject Anderson Silva, UCC/TKO fighter GSP, ProFC fighter Khabib, as if it makes them better.

Rizin arguably has a single good fighter on their ENTIRE roster left and that's Souza. A SINGLE fighter. I thought he beat Mckee too.

Bellator is also laughably top heavy as well. They only have a handful of good fighters. Better than Rizin, but still laughable.

I've been always saying PRIDE > UFC, and to a lesser degree Strikeforce > UFC, and they've proven to be true. Even Anderson and Hendo said PRIDE was better. But Rizin is pretty unfortunate, it makes me even sad about it. Bellator is better, but still unfortunate one could say.

I don't agree UFC is like NFL or MLB, because they don't sign top talents necessarily. But as things stand, they are incomparably deeper than Bellator, which is still much deeper than Rizin, and any comparison between UFC and these two orgs are just laughable, if not insane.

What I will say though is, if Bellator did 5 vs 5 against UFC, they could win that one. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Bellator held their own if not edge them out.

HW: Ngannou vs Bader : Ngannou by devastating knock out, but Bader is a legit hw. + 230 Bader?
LHW: Nemkov vs Jiri : This could go either way.
MW: Alex vs Eblen: I lean Eblen
WW: Edwards vs Amosov: I lean Amosov slightly
LW : Usman vs Islam: Who knows down the road but Islam rn
FW: Mckee/Pitbull vs Volkanovski : I think Volk is a little too good.

Rizin sent Jiri to UFC. He became champ in a literal fight of the year and one of the best fights of all time
Rizin sent Vadim to Bellator. He is Bellator's best LHW champ
Rizin sent Cappelozza to PFL. Won $1,000,000

Rizin > UFC > Bellator > PFL

The UFC has some* of the best fighters, there are many fighters out there who would beat their champs, some dagestani regional champs could probably jump into the UFC and win the belt right away

Three biggest mysteries of the year for MMA, for me was,

1. Why on earth diid UFC feed their UK cash cow in Molly to Erin? I mean what did they think was going to happen other than Erin just running through her?

2. Why on earth did UFC give Paddy Gordon fight? personally, I thought that was tougher fight than any fights than Sean O'malley got during his entire UFC run, Yan included, because match ups make fights. Paddy was going to have very difficult time looking good, IF he can beat him, which he did I guess..most people shat on Gordon before that fight, so I'm guessing maybe UFC drank Paddy coolaid too like most people.

3. ..and why did Saki think it was a good idea to do 5 vs 5 with the fighters he sent out against the fighters that Bellator was going to send out? Outside Souza vs Mckee, I mean....

Even here if you claimed they were the best you would have been mostly laughed at. I could probably count on one hand the number of people on here who claimed they were actually two of the best LHW in the world around 2017-19. Jiri especially.

UFC has roster depth though.

Some of the very best fighters being elsewhere is good for us fans. It gives us more options and opportunities to see good fights

That's fair, but I do think people here were high on their potential to make an impact in better organizations if they made it there.

That depends on the level of impact but I'm fairly certain that opinion would have been ridiculed by the average fan on here.

If someone made a thread titled "Jiri Prochazka would be a top 5 UFC LHW" in the Heavies around 2018 it largely would have been ridiculed. It would have been appreciated by a few people in Worldwide.
