Media UFC to partner with new drug testing agency following ending USADA deal

Well, yeah..

There was no way they were getting rid of testing. But it appeared that everything the UFC wanted. USADA acquiesced except for allowing Conor to get an exemption.

But, how legit is ANY testing going to be now?

The UFC has zero legitimacy. That’s more than obvious now. This isn’t a “sport”. Let’s make that clear.

Felt this was worthy of a new thread because everyone was starting to believe the fighters were gonna be to free to start openly juicing lol.

That's disappointing. I was hoping to see the best athletes science can produce

Fitz' earlier tweet mentioned cutting out the middle man. This reads different. Still, it looks bad. They partnered with USADA because of USADA's reputation. For the relationship to end this way, with USADA beating the UFC to releasing the news, and USADA's statement throwing the UFC under the Bus. It is not a good look.

@pride_rules When did Fitz become the UFC PR Spokesman? Movin' up, lol

Each states athletic commission still tests the fighters. USADA didn’t even catch TJ for using EPO, it was New York. USADA is a joke.

Maybe goes back to just the commissions again. With some other "agency" overseeing that, somehow.

They didn't say random, unannounced testing was going to be the norm in 2024.
