UFC Fight Night: Magny vs. Prates

Semelsberger/Gore/Johns/Malik/Ridder parlay for now.

Going to wait for Miles KO to see if I play that or his ML. Cody is washed up and two wins over guys who aren't in the UFC anymore won't change that.

Why would De Ridder win this easily? Imo Meerschaert is quite a good grappler. They both suck on the feet but I feel Meerschaert might actually be the more technical striker.

Ridder is a beast on the mat as far as MMA BJJ goes and he managed to avoid getting subbed by Galvao and Ruotolo in grappling matches as well.

GM3 is very opportunistic with his subs but he's usually pulling things off against guys that have clear holes in their game, whether it be in the grappling or in the cardio department. I'd have to refresh my memory but I recall Jotko being able to shut him down and Stoltzfus was ahead heading into the third I think.

Pyfer also beat him in a grappling match but I didn't see it so not sure how much stock I should put on that. Looking at Gerald's record RDR is the best grappler he's fought in years, we might actually see him pursue a striking gameplan for a change.

I guess. He couldn't get any takedowns vs Malykin in 2 fightz who imo is really not that great. I am not sure how good Meerschaerts tdd is but from memory not too bad.

Meerschaert got taken down 4 times by Jotko and Stoltzfus, twice by Petroski and has a 34% TDD rate.

Malykhin is a roided out master of sport in wrestling who competed in a bunch of Russian competitions before getting into MMA, his wrestling is much better than Gerald's on top of being a HW brick wall that Ridder ran into twice.

Lol I don't really watch BJJ matches in a matter of fact I don't think I ever saw one but whenever I see the results it seems like 95 percent ends in a dec so going to a dec in a BJJ match isn't that rare

Not really keen on any of these money lines at the moment. Thought briefly about Pinheiro but not sure she'll keep it on the feet.

Not if you're going against guys like Andre Galvao necessarily. If you're good enough not to be subbed by him, you're likely better than 99% of MMA fighters at bjj.

I like Prates, but I don't like those odds.

Romious takedown game are below zero it will be difficult to tame fighter like Bolanos.
+175 best underdog pick Bolanos to W.

Good thing about this card it seems like its going to be last one in Apex. Good riddance. It should be used for special occasions like DWCS or global pandemic only.

Why do people hate the apex so much lol I don't get it it's not like your fighting in the cage I could care less where the fights at

Card quality, atmosphere just the overall feel. These dont feel like the premiere quality. Sports events with any sort of intensity are meant to happen in front of a crowd. At least they got some seats in there tho.

I'm not playing at that price but Magny isn't enticing me either. Prates seems to do all the things that Magny traditionally has issues with. He's never liked getting pushed backwards against long guys and leg kicked.
