Does anyone ever notice the sheer hypocrisy in a vast majority of UFC fans. Obviously I'm a fan of the UFC myself but I'm talking about the certain someones we all know that put down anything that isn't the UFC constantly. Their whole spiel is that fighters outside of the UFC get unnecessary amounts of hype by virtue of fighting outside of the UFC and yet I see the same offenses and worse happening INSIDE of THE UFC.

I'm a Conor McGregor fan, but I'm not the type to call him McGregoat and think that he's going to run over all comers with ease. After EVERY fight this guy has had there are NUMEROUS idiots out there running around acting like it's a given that he's going to stomp a mud-hole in Aldo. If Conor was fighting outside of the UFC instead of in it they'd be raising hell about what a hype job he is. But no, he's in the UFC so somehow it's okay to make such hyperbolic claims.

Then you got Nurmagomedov. People act like Pettis should be shaking in his boots over the mere prospect of facing him and yet his record isn't that great at all. Besides Dos ANjos, who has he really beaten that is worth a damn? Oh yeah, laying all over Pat Healy, that's really in Pettis' league....If you so much as think Ben Askren would be a good pick-up in the UFC they act as though it's simply outlandish to assume such a thing. Apparently Askren laying on guys is horrible but Khabib can do it just because he fights in the UFC....Oh yeah, and because he's from the Caucasus so he's "super tough and scary".

The list could really go on and on about all the hype jobs inside the UFC. I remember when George Sotiroupolus was coming up and everyone was making a big deal out of him and saying his ground game was better than Aoki's and he'd surely win a rematch if ever it happen. They were also so sure he'd take the title. Or how about Kenny Florian who was apparently the "Next Machida" for winning a luke-warm match against Huerta of all people. "Watch out Penn, you're next!" "It's time to kill the master". Matt Brown is another one....There are just as many hype jobs in the UFC as their are outside of it but NOBODY ever points this out.

Not only that, but on top of being hypocrites they're horrible fans. The moment these fighters lose poof! goes their fanbase. I think that fans who watch everything are far better fans to their fighters. They ride with their fighters win or lose. UFC only fans are just fairweather bandwagon jumpers.

Do you feel better now that this is off your chest?
