Introduction:
Well…kind of. Unbeknownst to many, UFC light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker has a younger brother who is an elite heavyweight prospect, touting an 11-0 record in under three years of pro experience. He goes by the name of Valter Ignacio, an intentional decision made to keep himself out of the shadow of his older brother.
On why he changed his name from Valter Ignacio to Valter Walker:
“I changed my name because I’m tired of people all asking me all the time if I’m really the brother of Johnny,” Ignacio said. “I’m his younger brother, so our family used to call me Valtinho because I was smaller, but now I’m the bigger one.”
On their relationship:
“My relationship with Johnny is very good,” Ignacio said. “We talk everyday about training, about food, about focus in the fight, and we play video games almost every evening before sleeping.”
On why he trains out of Russia:
And while many pairs of legendary MMA brothers did their training together, Valter made the decision to train in Russia, away from Johnny, who fights out of SBG Ireland. But even though the two aren’t training partners, Valter still takes inspiration from his brother’s fighting style.
On whether they have similar fighting styles:
“I have a similar style to Johnny because he got me started in MMA. He got me started in the sport, but I believe I have more weapons than him,” Ignacio said.

Reading between the lines it sounds like Valter Walker may be getting a call up to the big show if he wins his title fight tomorrow

Edit: The fight has been completed and can be viewed on UFC Fight Pass.

Make Walker go up in weight or Walker go down and have them fight eachother.

"To the death, Walker!" (Paul-style)

I wonder if he shares the same appetite for women <{1-16}>

Damn he's even bigger than Johnny. 6'6 265 pounds, a real Sherdogger.

So 11-0, undefeated heavyweight. 25 years old. Brother a prominent UFC fighter. Why isn't this guy already signed?

Well considering the UFC Heavyweight division has room for studs like Chase Sherman, Jared Vanderaa, Parker Porter, and Chris Barnett... I'm sure they can give this guy a shot.

I don't think they care if you get banged out by better fighters, they just don't want you winning by laying on people.

We'll see how he deals with Nicholson tonight.

He was almost exclusively laying and praying against opponents half his size and twice his age up until late last year and wasn't finishing them or making much of an attempt to.

He has been fighting with a lot more anger and urgency in his past few fights so he may have turned a new leaf. His last two finishes were violent.

But the real question is... does he do the floppy fish KO dance like John John does? I need to know.
