Paddy has some of the worst striking defense in the lightweight top 10, if not the worst. I think gaethje for sure can time and hurt him. Paddy will have to avoid the standup entirely to win.

Gaethje is more of an accumulated damage guy than KO artist. I think his path to victory is chopping down Paddy's legs early. For all the talk of Paddy's size, that didn't seem to do much for James Vick (I know, that was 20 years ago).

It's such a hard fight to call because Justin in a known entity and Paddy is not. We have no idea how Paddy's going to measure up. He looked great vs. Chandler (and had a sick finish of Queen Green as well) but how that translates to a superior fighter in Gaethje, we're bout to find out. Paddy seems to think he's got some edge in the standup, which is intriguing because it sure doesn't seem that way. Shouldn't be a title fight but this is a great matchup.

Yep if Paddy wins they'll spin it as him defying some mystical odds when in reality they were intentionally giving him the most favorable matchup of those in the top 5 (no way they were going to give him someone like Arman or Charles).

Gaethje could knock him out, but 3 of his last 4 wins are by decision & Paddy is pretty tough. He ate a few clean shots from Chandler no problem.

I think Justin by DEC or Paddy by tko(gnp) have the most value when it comes to betting lines.
