Colby is a bit of a draw but I think it was the combo of all the fighters & how they were matched on the PPV.That's not too bad actually, didn't think Usan and Colby were that big of draws.
700,000 would put it behind UFC 259: Blachowicz vs Adesanya (https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/74079-ufc-fight-night) from June, which did 800,000, around the same as what UFC 261: Usman vs Masvidal II (https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/76694-ufc-fight-night) did, slightly above UFC 254: Khabib vs Gaethje (https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/70869-ufc-255), but nowhere near UFC 257: Poirier vs McGregor II (https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/73413-ufc-257), which did 1.6 million.
What's interesting is UFC 257 wasn't loaded with big names, 268 arguably had a way bigger list of name value fights, but Conor remained all conquering in terms of interest/financial might.
It looks to me like the UFC putting on a strong show is worth circa 700-800k buys.
Adding Conor gets nearly a million extra buys.
Still, the UFC should be creative when putting Conor on a PPV main event rather than just awarding him undeserved title shots, no?
Dana should be licking Conor’s feet for how he much main stream attention he brought to the UFCConor is literally the only one who can break a mil. The UFC put together the most possibly stacked card they can make and they still sell less than Conor vs Washed Cowboy on a trash card.
Conor Bless.
I would love to see what the numbers are compared to UFC 245 when Usman and Colby first fought.
I remember how much Sherbros bitched about that match up
I believe Masvidal said something about 245 being one of the lowest selling PPVs of the year.
It would seem that in a relatively short time both Usman and Colby have swelled in popularity. They did 100k less than Canelo going head to head with him. That is fucking crazy
Crawford is p4p most talented boxer in the game. He should be one of the biggest name in boxing but alas. Hopefully Errol vs. Crawford gets made nowCanelo is the biggest name in boxing right now. Let’s see how crawford / porter sold…….
800k for canelo was unusually high considering his opponent though. Still hard to believe.
